When to come in
The concerns parents bring us most.
Not sure whether it needs a visit? When in doubt, call. These are the conversations that fill our consultation room.
- Fever that persists or worries you
- Cold, cough and breathing difficulties
- Wheezing, allergic cough or eczema flare-ups
- Poor weight gain or growth concerns
- Feeding difficulties, colic or reflux in infants
- Newborn jaundice, cord or feeding questions
- Picky eating, anemia or weight problems
- Missed or delayed vaccinations
- Developmental delays — speech, movement, behaviour
- Sleep problems and behavioural concerns
A note on emergencies: for life-threatening situations — breathing difficulty with blue lips, seizures, or unresponsiveness — proceed to the nearest emergency facility or call 108 immediately.
For first-time visitors
What a first visit feels like.
- 01We start with your story — how the child has been, what worries you.
- 02Examination at the child's pace, with toys and time for reassurance.
- 03Weight, height and head circumference plotted on WHO growth charts.
- 04Vaccination record reviewed and the next due dates planned.
- 05A written plan in plain language, plus a clear 'when to call us' line.
