Asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema and food allergy are not 'just childhood phases'. Managed properly, they can be — and Dr. Sachin Bhise's Diploma in Paediatric Allergy & Asthma (DPAA, AAAIC) means they are managed properly here.
What we treat
Recurrent cough, night-time wheeze, breathlessness with play. Diagnosed properly — not by fear — and managed with the right inhalers at the right doses, taught correctly.
The chronic blocked nose, sneezing fits and eye rubbing that look like 'a never-ending cold'. Nasal sprays, allergen control and training that actually work.
Dry, itchy, broken skin that robs children of sleep. A stepwise skincare routine — emollients, trigger control, treatment — reviewed at every visit.
Hives, vomiting or swelling after certain foods. We evaluate carefully, separate real allergy from intolerance, and give families a safe, practical plan.
The cough that has seen every syrup in the pharmacy. We look for the cause — often a silent allergy or asthma — instead of chasing the symptom.
Reactions to medicines or insect stings, assessed and documented — with clear avoidance and emergency guidance for school and home.
How we manage it
The goal is not a medicine for every symptom. It is a child who sleeps through the night, plays without coughing, and goes to school without fear — on the least medication needed.
DPAA trained. Dr. Bhise's Diploma in Paediatric Allergy & Asthma (DPAA, AAAIC) reflects dedicated, structured training in exactly these conditions.

Know the signs
Most asthma flares are managed at home with your action plan. These signs mean don't wait — call us immediately, or head to emergency care.
Call HAPPY KIDS CLINICThe child can't complete a sentence or a feed without gasping.
Any bluish tint around the lips or fingernails — emergency.
The chest draws in with each breath — the belly or ribs moving hard.
No improvement within minutes of the rescue inhaler, or it wears off within a couple of hours.
Too tired or limp to cough properly — this is dangerous, not restful.
Sudden swelling of lips/tongue, hives with breathing difficulty, or collapse after a trigger.
Allergy & asthma FAQs
Not every cough is asthma, but asthma often hides as a cough — one that worsens at night, with exercise, or lasts weeks after a cold. We assess the pattern, examine, and use the right tests to decide. Diagnosis is made properly, not guessed.
Yes — inhalers deliver tiny, targeted doses directly to the lungs, and are far safer than long-term oral syrups. They are the standard of care worldwide for childhood asthma. The real problem is usually incorrect technique, which we fix during the visit.
Many children do experience significant improvement as their airways grow, especially with good control in childhood. Some don't. Either way, the goal is the same: normal sleep, normal play, normal school — on the least treatment needed, reviewed over time.
Only when the history suggests they will change the plan. Testing is never the first step — the story is. When indicated, we arrange appropriate testing and interpret results in the context of the child's symptoms, not in isolation.
Absolutely — with a well-controlled asthma plan, children should run, swim and play like their peers. We'll build a plan that covers exercise, including the right use of a reliever before activity, so the playground stays part of childhood.
Keep exploring
Wheezing and eczema often sit alongside growth, feeding and vaccination questions — we look at the whole child, not just the chest.
